Yusuf Chowdhury is a master SEO and digital marketing expert and trainer.  If you’ve never seen Yusuf train, you are seriously missing out and, well we will just have to change that.  But while our series is typically on how to become an entrepreneur, this episode focused on the marketing aspect in becoming successful.  Because as an entrepreneur, what many don’t realize is that ideas are a dime a dozen. The hard part is not launching a product or website.  Thats all fairly easy.

What is a challenge is marketing it and getting customers to your site to buy from you. And that presents a dilemma because while you should be focused on your business, you have to spend time marketing as well.  If you are a beginner, this likely means you will be doing the marketing yourself.  By beginner I mean new to business.

If you are an established business then you may be able to afford to hire.  But for both newbies and established business there is one URGENT problem.

1. As a beginner you have to take the DIY route before you have enough money to outsource

2. Even if you have a budget, most digital marketing operations are scams. I know this because I’ve been in this business since 2002.

IN this episode we discuss the different scam techniques used by digital marketing agencies.  This is a must listen for both new and established businesses because for those who have the budget to hire, your dilemma is that unless you know what companies are supposed to deliver, you are essentially naked and buying blindly.  This is exactly why 90% of SEO companies succeed as a scam operation. Because you don’t know what you don’t know!


  • Spend some time learning at least the basics of SEO/digital marketing from experts – so you will know what you
  • Cheap SEO or $50/mth plans are the equivalent of trying to “build a car for $1” – they are scams
  • If you outsource be sure to get some training on how to do it properly to avoid scams and pitfalls.  And pay them well and they will take care of you.
  • Don’t expect even an outsourcer for less than $500/mth
